It’s September here now in the South of France and where I live, in the Languedoc, the winemakers are starting to harvest their crop. There are very few places in this part of France where you don’t see vineyards, they are everywhere. There are certainly more famous areas when it comes to quality like Bordeaux or Champagne. Of course if you live here grape harvesting season can be a bit frustrating if you want to get anywhere. The tractors that transport the grapes from the fields to the winery are out in force and traffic is often brought to a crawl which can be hell on the small country roads.
