2 Simple Steps for Eyebrow Tattoo Aftercare
Posted on March 6th, 2010 No commentsIf you have just undergone an eyebrow tattoo procedure or are contemplating having one done, then you will need to be prepared to care for your new brows at home. Your permanent eye brow tattoo specialist should give you a small home care kit and some instructions before sending you home, but she/he has not done so, then here are 2 simple steps to follow for good eyebrow tattoo aftercare.
- Your cosmetician or tattoo specialist should have covered your brows with an ointment, soothing cream or some kind of moisture barrier that will protect the newly tattooed brow area from dirt while you make it home. There are two schools of thought on what to do with this protective barrier once you get home, and in my opinion it will depend on the time of day you had your procedure done. If you’re procedure was done early, then you may do nothing for a few hours, but before going to bed, wipe off the old ointment and apply a fresh coat. If your procedure was done in the evening, then leave the proactive coat on and go to bed. Either way, your first night with your brows should be spent with a protective coat of ointment, be it the moisture barrier your technician applied or a new coat you have applied.
- Do not touch the eye brow tattoo area with your fingers, use a sterile cotton swab or pad and wipe gently. Apply fresh ointment or cream with a cotton swab. The first morning after your procedure, wipe away the cream or ointment, wash your face very gently with warm or cool water and reapply the cream. Do not sit and soak in a tub or use hot water or allow your face to be in a steamy room.
If you would like more information about getting this permanent makeup procedure carried out successfully then take a visit to the Eye brow Tattoo website and read some expert articles on the subject.

Hair Loss Treatments: Going Bald vs Getting Plugs
Posted on March 5th, 2010 No commentsEveryone these days seems to just want bigger better faster and stronger. Nothing wrong with that, but I think it goes too far and when you start seriously changing your life patterns for the sake of your hair, you have some choices to make in your life. Lucky men have a good spouse to talk these things over with, who can help them come to a reasonable conclusion about preventing hair loss. The bottom line for men is, don’t feel like you have to face this alone, not only will your wife love you no matter what your hair looks like but tons of men ages eighteen to eighty are going through it right along with you.
When to Pass on Hair Loss Treatments
Well, first and foremost if you are broke and behind the ball financially speaking, don’t quit eating so you can have hair loss treatments. It’s a no brainer to me, but I see tons of men paying huge amounts of money for these products, in the end I swear you could just have a fast sports car (having one I can tell you my husband could care less about his thinning hair when he is driving that new S2000 like he is in the Indy 500). Also, and this is why you will want to talk to your spouse, she may be hugely turned on by your chrome dome, lots of women are, and it may just end up being the solar panel to your new sex machine. But in either case ask, trust me, she will most likely be exceedingly gentle with your feelings however she feels and it would be a mistake to not share your hair loss feelings with her.
When to Concede Defeat and get Hair Loss Treatments
The only really good reason to insist on doing something with your hair loss is if it is affecting your intimacy with your partner. If you are getting so shook up about your hair loss that you no longer wish to have a quality relationship with the woman you are with, tell her so and get the darn treatments. She will be a great support to you if you talk to her about it, and if you don’t, (women being the sensitive, self blaming creatures they are) she may assume you simply don’t love or want her anymore and walk out the door.

Easy Tips for Removing Blackheads
Posted on March 4th, 2010 No commentsEven those people who are fortunate enough not to have pimples oftentimes have to deal with other forms of acne such as whiteheads and blackheads. Well, that maybe the reason why the question of how to get rid of blackheads and whiteheads gets asked very often. However, the answer to that particular question will vary depending on the person’s skin tone and the severity of the person’s condition. Then again, there is no need for you to fret, since there are general solutions that you can try which can help you eliminate whiteheads and blackheads effectively and completely. Here are some tips that you might want to consider.
1.) As much as possible, refrain from eating junk foods and other unhealthy grubs. Although there has never been any proof yet that these types of foods can actually cause blackheads and whiteheads; however, there is this high risk that you will acquire blackheads and whiteheads if you continue to consume junk foods and other unhealthy food items. There is this saying that what you eat will reflect on your body. With that said, if you stay healthy on the inside, you will also appear healthy on the outside.
2.) In order to get rid of whiteheads and blackheads, change your bed sheet and pillow cases regularly. Oil, dirt and dust can get accumulated on your bedcover and pillow casing and once your face and the rest of your body comes into contact with all of these substances, there is a high chance that you will get acne.
3.) Make a habit of washing your face daily to keep it oil and dirt free. Use a gentle soap to wash your face and apply an oil-free moisturizer afterwards to make your facial skin soft, moist and supple.
4.) When you are washing your face, put more emphasis to the areas where the acnes are and make sure that you clean that area thoroughly.

Advantages of IPL Hair Removal
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 No commentsThe IPL Hair removal treatment is a process that usually takes place in three stages: at the beginning the treated area is cleaned and disinfected, then the hair is cut to the length of about one or two millimeters, since the hair must be visible and tick from the skin to act as a target of the light. Finally, the laser hand piece is passed on the targeted area and the hair is destroyed. Because the laser is selective on the melanin contained in the hair, the skin surrounding the action of light is not affected and remains intact. The duration of therapy can vary from five to ten minutes for small areas like the face, armpits or groin to about thirty to forty minutes for large areas like the back, chest or legs.
Why IPL Hair removal is better than electrolysis:
Electrolysis is a very slow process because it requires a fine needle inserted at the base of each hair. Once the needle is inserted, an electric current is used to burn the bulb and delay regrowth. With laser and IPL systems, however, a cooled hand piece is applied on the skin surface and the light is able to selectively destroy the hair in its entirety, without damaging the surrounding skin, also covering large areas quickly. Those who have tried both systems, says that the laser or pulsed light is less painful, faster and more efficient.
Advantages of IPL hair removal compared to other treatments:
- You can treat large areas quickly and without pain
- With Intense Pulsed Light adequate results are obtained faster and safer
- IPL can be used on all areas of the body where there is unwanted hair that you want to remove.
IPL removal can be defined permanent as there is a period of absence of regrowth measurable in months or even years. The actual time period without significant re-growth depends on the hormonal state of the patient. Hormonal imbalances present on the occasion of IPL therapy or conditions that arise later can affect the result or request a number of sessions different from patient to patient.

TriActive and AccentXL – The Two Types of Cellulite Laser Removal
Posted on March 1st, 2010 No commentsDo you look in the mirror and see the tell tale signs of cellulite on your buttocks and thighs? Thankfully there are ways that you can treat this unsightly condition. One of the best ways is laser for cellulite removal. This involves using laser light or radio waves to burn way fat and increase skin elasticity. You will only be able to undergo the therapy in a beauty clinic or doctors’ surgery, and a technician trained in the use of the machine can only use it.
One of the most well known laser treatments is TriActive. Using six laser lights, the machine heats the fat under the skin in order to rupture the cells. The machines also massage the problem areas so that fluid is drained away from the tissues. You will need to undergo TriActive once or twice a week for about 16 weeks. Each session is usually priced a hundred dollars.
A new laser cellulite removal treatment that has only just hit the American market is AccentXL. In contrast to TriActive, this machine makes use of radio frequencies to heat the fat and stimulate more collagen to thicken the skin. A typical session will cost about $500 and most women will require 3 to 5 treatments. This means that AccentXL is around the same cost as TriActive but has fewer treatments.
There is no downtime with laser treatments meaning that you can return to work or play straight after your session.
However, it is important to know that laser therapy will not permanently remove cellulite. The cellulite will return eventually and you’ll need to continue the therapy in order to keep your new appearance. AccentXL results will last longer than TriActive.
If you are thinking of undergoing this cellulite treatment then you need to ensure that you first get a consultation with a trained technician. They will be able to explain to you the costs and whether your type of cellulite is suited to this type of therapy.

Removing a Tattoo Or Just Covering It Up?
Posted on February 14th, 2010 No commentsA little known opportunity presents itself when it comes to having a tattoo that needs to be removed for whatever reason. I realized this when I was about half way through my rejuvi tattoo removal treatments, sitting there grimacing in pain as the technician injected the rejuvi cream into my only somewhat numbed arm. I had spent about $450 at this point, and after this visit, it would be closer to $600. I thought to myself that if I had wanted to, and if I had found a good tattoo artist to do such a job, I bet I could have simply paid to have the tattoo covered up. This is an interesting alternative to simply having the tattoo removed.
My tattoo was about half way faded at this point from the rejuvi work, and I couldn’t get this thought out of my mind about covering it up. I ended up talking to a buddy whose best friend is a popular artist down at The Tattoo Bay by the beach, and the next thing you know, I’m there talking to him in person.
Turns out I was in a great position still to get my tattoo covered up. Even though my rejuvi tattoo cream treatments had started, it’s actually not such a bad idea to pay for some treatments to remove the strongest elements of the tattoo ink colors first before attempting to mask the entire piece of art with another one. I ended up cancelling the rest of the rejuvi treatments, then waited about two months. At that point I went in to have my new friend at The Tattoo Bay do his magic. Five hundred dollars later, my old tattoo is gone – which is all I really wanted – and yet I have a brand new, sweet looking piece of tattoo art in its place.
The point of this is that if you’re like me, and have a tattoo you wish to remove, don’t just spend all your money on tattoo removal. Why not spend your money on a better tattoo instead? For me it worked out to be about the same cost ($1,000), and if I’m dropping that kind of cash I’d like to see a return on my money that’s more visible that simply the lack of a tattoo!
For more information on your options for removing a tattoo, check out this site: The Tattoo Removal Creams Guide. Here you will find articles on different over the counter tattoo removal cream products, including popular items such as Tat B Gone and Wrecking Balm, as well as removal alternatives, such as the details of using a cover up tattoo to effectively “remove” the unwanted tattoo. ha

How A Tanning Bed Accelerator Works
Posted on February 11th, 2010 No commentsA tanning bed accelerator is used to increase the melanin level in your body. The pigment of melanin is what allows your skin to darken with the exposure to the sun and the tanning bed. It seems that a large amount of people are wanting to follow in the steps of tanning. If you are having trouble tanning because you lack the pigment than you might want to try an accelerator to make your tan appear faster.
When you are applying a tanning accelerator lotion or spray you will want to take notice at how well your skin is becoming moisturized as these are designed to make your skin softer and smoother. The results of the accelerator will help to loosen the skin cells that are dead and shed them right off. By doing this it helps to keep your skin looking darker for longer amounts of time. The top layer of your skin is what is tanning with the accelerator and therefore if you do not keep your skin moisturized the tan that you are working so hard to get will be gone as soon as the top layer of your skin peels.
What happens with the accelerator is the ingredients in the accelerator is meant to help produce melanin or your skin’s pigment that helps you tan. If you want to use a tanning accelerator you will want to look in your local tanning salon or a tan accelerator store in your area that carries these products. If you do not know if your local store or not sells these products you will want to ask someone in the health and beauty section of the store if they have the accelerators that help you tan faster.
When you are beginning to tan for the first time of the year and your skin starts to burn which most do right off the bat, you will want to apply the tanning bed accelerator after you tan so that this can help relieve some of the pain that is experienced with a sunburn. You will be pleased to know that many of the accelerators have moisturizers to help with burn and come in a variety of different smells for you to choose from.
No matter which way you are going to be tanning make sure that you do so with caution. Making sure that you have applied the right amount of accelerator as well as keeping your eyes closed and covered when you are in a tanning bed. Make sure that you start out with a small amount of time in the tanning bed to start with and slowly add a minimal amount of time each time you revisit the tanning salon.

More Eye Shadow Tips
Posted on February 5th, 2010 No commentsWell, these days, looking glamorous is a full time job. Your eyeshadow is the key to your entire look! Unless you are a master professional make-up artist, chances are you could use a few eyeshadow design tips. Your main focus of your face is often your choices for eyeshadow shades.
A really important tip about eyeshadow is to know how to blend. Your best blends do not come from a cream shadow product. That product is not particularly flattering to older skin because it tends to attach to creases in the eyelid. Make sure you have a good quality eyeshadow brush and use a powder. A little bit of your foundation on the eye will set a beautiful base for the shadow.
The perfect eyeshadow is a three layer effect. Begin your first layer with a light color such as a taupe. You want to use a highlighter in the crease area and then a main eye popping color for the eyelid. Your goal is to blend them so that you have a beautiful smooth effect. To achieve this, try going from light to the darker shade. It works really well if you take your brush to the base color first and then actually apply your main eyelid color next. The trick is to apply your highlighter last! The highlighter acts as the binder for the other two colors and blends everything in together as you stroke. Try not to apply a lot of pressure as you brush. This will only cause you to have to start your process all over from the beginning. Try to use light and gentle strokes.
Another tip is to practice! As with anything in life, practice creates perfection. Do not be afraid to experiment with color combination. As your look changes from day to night, so should your eyes. Make-up was meant to be fun and if you need more tips on what benefit eyeshadow is, check out this site: the eye shadow.

Vaser Lipo – Faster Results With Minimal Pain
Posted on January 20th, 2010 No commentsVaser lipo is a cosmetic surgery procedure that uses ultrasonic energy to emulsify fat deposits prior to removing them from the body. The emulsification process makes the healing process much quicker after this type of procedure as well as greatly reducing the amount of pain experienced by the patient when compared to traditional liposuction techniques.
Vaser lipo can be performed using a local anesthetic, with the surgeon first preparing the treatment area with a saline solution that not only numbs the area but also shrinks the blood vessels to minimize bleeding. A tiny probe emitting ultrasonic sound energy begins breaking up the unwanted fat deposits without affecting the surrounding tissue, nerves or blood vessels. Liposuction cannula can then easily extract the liquefied fat, minimizing any subsequent bruising or swelling around the treatment site.
Because the use of ultrasound is both safe and precise, more areas of the body can be sculpted and contoured using this procedure than any other method of liposuction. These include the chin, arms, neck, inner thighs, chest area, buttocks, knees, back, abdomen and love handles at the waistline.
An increasing number of patients are opting for vaser technology because they can experience quick results with a minimum of pain and downtime. Because the nerve endings, blood vessels and connecting tissue surrounding the fatty deposits targeted for removal are not impacted during the procedure, post-operative pain, swelling and bruising is kept to a minimum. Most patients can return to their normal activities the next day with no downtime or pain medication required.
The ultrasound procedure for fat removal is considered much safer with fewer risks than traditional liposuction techniques. Under the care of a qualified surgeon, such traditional liposuction complications as loss of fluid, low blood pressure, formation of blood and fat clots that migrate to the lungs, friction burns or fluid accumulation are rare or non-existant using vaser liposuction.

Hair Restoration For Balding Head
Posted on January 20th, 2010 No commentsHere’s some stats I bet you didn’t know. Almost 70% of all men will show hair loss and hair thinning or balding at some time. This is bad enough but did you know 40% of all cases of premature hair loss are for females. That’s right, four out of ten people who have thinning or balding hair are women. Also, of the men who show hair loss 95% are suffering from a genetic condition known as androgenic alopecia and the percentages area about the same for women. The common name for this medical condition in men is male pattern baldness while in women it is called female pattern baldness.
The interesting thing about androgenic alopecia is that even though both men and women are susceptible the resulting symptoms of the condition are quite different for the two sexes. Men tend to lose all or most of their hair in certain regions of the scalp. For example, you will often times see men with a receding hair line at the forehead, also called a widow’s peak, or they will be almost completely bald at the vertex or crown area of the scalp. Conversely, you never see men with hair loss at the back of the head and rarely on the sides. Women, on the other hand, tend to have thinning hair over their entire head although they will sometimes have bald spots on localized areas.
The best way to treat androgenic alopecia is with hair restoration surgery. Once the hairs have fallen out the hair follicles or roots will not produce hair any more. Thus the hair restoration procedure involves removing hair from an area with good growth and implanting that hair into the balding area. For men the area to be used for donation of hair follicles is the back of the head. This area works well because there is usually thick growth and the surrounding hair covers any small scars quite easily.
For women a body hair transplantation method is the best form of hair restoration and replacement. These body hairs grow like natural hair when placed in the scalp although the texture is a little courser. They work well as filler hairs even though they are noticeable when used for a hair line.
Both men and women who suffer hair loss can make dramatic gains with hair restoration surgery.

Mini Tummy Tuck Cost
Posted on January 15th, 2010 No commentsAre you wondering what a mini tummy tuck cost? While many people have heard of a tummy tuck, not nearly as many people have heard of a mini tummy tuck. This is a shame because a mini tummy tuck can often produce the same results as a tummy tuck with a cheaper prices. Therefore, we are going to discuss a few aspects of a mini tummy tuck.
First, a mini tummy tuck cost will average somewhere between seventeen hundred dollars and sixty five hundred dollars. In comparison, a traditional tummy tuck cost will be somewhere between three thousand dollars and ten thousand dollars.
A mini tummy tuck often costs less because it requires significantly less of the cosmetic surgeon’s time. This is because a cosmetic surgeon only operates on the abdominal area below the navel during a mini tummy tuck. With a normal tummy tuck, the surgeon operates on the entire abdominal area (including tightening the abdominal wall muscles).
As the surgeon requires less time in the operating room, a mini tummy tuck patient will save money in two areas. First, as we have alluded to, the surgeon will charge you less for his or her services. This is because the surgeon charges by the hour. With a normal tummy tuck, the surgery can last between three and five hours. With a mini tummy tuck, the surgery will normally last between one and two hours. The other area you save money in with a mini tummy tuck cost is that the operating facility will charge you less since you will require less time in it. All of these things will play into the final cost that you will have to fork up.
As we have shown, a mini tummy tuck is far superior to a traditional tummy tuck when it comes to pricing. Therefore, we highly recommend you discuss this procedure with your surgeon during your consultation. However, be mindful that a mini tummy tuck is not always ideal for everyone; if your surgeon tells you a traditional tummy tuck is the way to go for your situation, don’t be surprised. Once you get the procedure done, make sure you consider changing your eating habits as well as your fitness habits. Spending all of this money just to get back to having that fat around your tummy is just a waste of money. Although a mini tummy tuck cost less than a normal one, you still want to save money by not having to go through the procedure more than once.

Tips for Choosing a Good Anti Acne Product
Posted on January 11th, 2010 No commentsAcne is an issue that most people do not like to deal with but on occasion, everyone will suffer a breakout. A skin pore getting clogged causes these pimples. Dirt, oil or makeup products can clog them. Once the pores are clogged, they can fester and become a pimple. There are ways to eliminate this problem.
Finding anti acne products that work for you can sometimes feel very frustrating. There are many on the market. Look at the store shelves. There are tons of products that claim they can help get rid of the problem. The best tip is to take your time and try different products. If after awhile you find that you have tried a number of products and are not getting any relief, it may be time to consult a physician.
A dermatologist who is a doctor for the skin may be able to assist you. He can prescribe many products to an acne sufferer. Talk to the dermatologist and do not be shy. They can help you. The doctor may give you samples to try to see what is effective. They will then arrange for you to come back in a few months to see if the products they prescribed is working for you. If they still are not working, the prescription may need to be modified and you may have to try some more different products.
Acne is a problem that is a true pain. Not all products work for everyone. Finding the one the works for you can be the way you finally become acne free. People are different and that means that everyone will need something different to work for them. Take your time and experiment with products. Keep a list of which ones work for you and which ones work quickly. Costs vary by product. Some are even prescription strength. Acne does not have to be a pest. There is help out there.

New Technique Allows Hair Implants For Women
Posted on January 10th, 2010 No commentsHair implantation has been used for over 50 years in the US. But in fact the procedure is older than that as a few Japanese doctors were experimenting with facial hair transplants in the 1930’s but, unfortunately, their research materials were mostly lost during the war. There really wasn’t much interest in this type of hair loss treatment until the mid 1950’s. At that time some surgeons were performing the hair implantation surgery but the results were not really very good. Without micro-surgical techniques and instrumentation the only option was to remove plugs of scalp from an area with hair growth and insert them into incisions made in the balding area. This gave a look of tufts of hair sticking out in every direction and was not very pleasing at all.
Over the years the procedures were improved but it was still necessary to have a large area of good hair growth from which to remove the donor hairs to be implanted. This works fine for men because they tend to have balding on the top of the head but good growth continues at the posterior section. For women, who tend to have thinning over their entire head, this was not the case as there was no good donation site.
This has changed with the new follicular unit extraction method of hair restoration. Now hair implants for women are available because the cosmetic surgeon can manipulate and utilize individual hair units and their associated support structures instead of removing an entire strip of scalp. This has opened the door up to body hair transplants which allow a woman to have her thinning hair filled in with natural growing hair shafts.
If you are having thinning problems, or maybe even a bald spot or near bald spot, then ask about this type of procedure. You don’t have to settle for just trying to keep a wig on your head to cover up the loss. It is time for you to start enjoying your hair again.

Balanced Nutrition To Fight Facial Eczema
Posted on December 26th, 2009 No commentsYou are what you eat. You have probably heard this statement thousands of times in your life, if not more. No matter how many times you hear it, do not dismiss it because eating right may be the key to preventing your eczema.
It you want to eat right, you have to have good nutrition habits. Many of the best methods of natural treatment for eczema rely on good nutrition to be most effective. This is because practicing good nutrition improves your immune system.
Eczema is now thought to be caused primarily by a poorly functioning immune system. If your body and immune system are not able to produce the right kind of antibodies, maintain proper amounts of antibodies, and keeps hormone levels balanced then you become compromised. When your body is compromised, it makes you highly susceptible to eczema flare ups. In fact, atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, facial eczema, and eyelid eczema can probably all be prevented if the immune system is functioning properly.
Good nutrition means giving your body the right foods, vitamins, minerals, and other essential substances it needs to remain healthy and thrive. Foods that are natural, organic, and in their simplest form offer you the most benefit. This is because they are easily broken down and the nutrients can be quickly absorbed by your body. You will also want to make sure you are eating the right amounts of each kind of food. Too much sugar or too little vegetables can quickly weaken your immune system. In terms of finding an eczema treatment, there are different things you can do that can help and having the right foods in your body is one of them. Our immune system is more capable of fighting off bacteria and viruses than most of us think. The problem is that many people don’t give their body the right nutrients to allow it to do its job efficiently. It’s like not giving your car gasoline and instead feeding it dirt. It just won’t run.
Everyone is unique. Therefore, we all have different nutritional needs. The best thing you can do to prevent your facial eczema is to see an expert. That expert will study your body, lifestyle, and illness. Together you will develop a great nutritional plan that can help you stay eczema free. Once you have the right plan for yourself in terms of your diet, the hardest part will be to stick to that plan so you need to do what is necessary to get yourself to eat the right foods long enough until it becomes a habit. At that point, it will become easy and hopefully your eczema symptoms will subside.

Do Anti Wrinkle Creams Actually Work?
Posted on December 10th, 2009 No commentsWill using an anti aging wrinkle cream get rid of your wrinkles? The short answer is, not really. The reason why we have wrinkles in the first place is because as we age, our body will produce less collagen which is w.hat keeps our skin looking plump and young. The part of the skin that produces collagen is the dermis. For this reason, in order to stimulate the production of collagen, the product you use will have to go deep into the skin for this to work. Most of the creams that are sold in the market simply aren’t strong enough to get down deep enough into the skin. This is why other procedures such as injections will work since you can easily get to a deep enough level in the skin with a needle. These products will help keep your skin looking smooth though.
If you want a way to help decrease the effects of aging in terms of the development of wrinkles however, then what you can do is use sunscreen. Although this is such a common product to use, it can really do wonders for your skin. The fact is that much of the wrinkles that appear on our face is caused by exposure to the sun’s UV rays over time. If you look at people who sun bathed a lot in their youth for example, they will tend to have a lot more wrinkles than people who didn’t sun bathe all that much. This is why sunscreen is one of the best anti wrinkle products you can use. It’s cheap and effective. Of course, using it will only help prevent or slow down wrinkles from appearing. It won’t do anything in terms of getting rid of your existing wrinkles.
If you really want to get rid of wrinkles, then you will want to have some injections done on your face. These chemicals that are put into your skin can help stimulate the production of collagen which will in turn help plump your face up a bit, making the wrinkles on your face a bit less visible. The effects won’t last forever though so you will have to come back in once or twice a year or so depending on the condition of your skin. Anti aging creams will help somewhat but if you are looking for a miracle, don’t have your hopes up too high or you will be disappointed.
