The plasma television or the plasma display panel (PDP) is one of the most impressive technological advances of recent years. It is a far cry from the televisions of the 70`s and early 80`s. The plasma screen comes in many different sizes, from around 80cm upwards. The screen on plasma televisions is always flat, this is one of the main differences between the plasma and the older versions. By around 2003 people have bought and utilized a mount for plasma TV in millions of homes across the United States and Europe. Although LCD televisions have now over taken them in sales many still believe the plasma to offer the best picture.
